Description

House of Curt Emil Schroeder (1872-1946), built in 1908 by Sam Matthews and Jack Speirs. Published in Sandra Thurlow's book, Stuart on the St. Lucie (p. 67) with the caption: "Curt Schroeder was a fisherman, farmer and merchant as well as a dedicated public servant. He married Emily Kitching in 1899 and in 1908 had Sam Matthews and Jack Speirs, Emily's brother-in-law, build their home that still stands on Osceola Street."
