  • Nativity scene float with several people in costume and a live donkey take part in the Stuart Christmas parade of 1964.
  • Christmas sleigh themed float filled with Jensen Beach kindergarten students passes through downtown Stuart as part of the Christmas parade held on December 5, 1964.
  • Christmas parade float for the children's production of the Nutcracker Suite Ballet. According to the Stuart News (10 Dec 1964), this "Jack and Jill Kindergarten float won the third prize" plaque donated by the Bank of Stuart, First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Martin County and First Mortgage Corporation.

The Stuart News (6 Jul 1961) described the float: "Most Original float in Tuesday's parade was the 'New Horizons' float of the Business and Professional Women's Club. The astronauts are Lida DeVary and Dorothy West." Stores in background: Philco Singer Service Center, Admiral Television and Appliances, Hunts TV and Appliances.
  • Sea turtle float created for the July Fourth parade through downtown Stuart. The float was sponsored by the Jensen Beach Chamber of Commerce.
  • Similar photo of this float appeared in the Stuart News (6 Jul 1961) with a caption reading "An Eye-Catcher was the 'Stuart Queens Float.' The tiny attendants are Sherry Hollwek, Vickie Addy, Kim Christiansen and Linda Gottron. The queens are, Lynn Mauldin, MCHS Homecoming Queen; Barbara Delich, Miss Stuart, and Miss Florida Congeniality, and Scarlett Scott, Miss Stuart Jaycee."
  • Rainbow float with several young woman passes by the Stuart Tackle Shop and Gulf Gas station on Colorado Avenue for an Independence Day parade through downtown Stuart. A different photo of this float appeared in the Stuart News (6 Jul 1961) with a caption reading "Most Beautiful float in the Fourth of July parade was that of the Order of Rainbow for Girls." The girls on the float identified in the paper as Kathleen Stevenson, Judith Harris, Claire Dumich, Kay Paradise, Carolyn Gray, Judy Gilson, Joanne Coulter, Susan Coulter, Laura Sipos, Dianne Means and Mary Ann Winn.
  • July Fourth parade passes by Kindred's Superette grocery store and the Philco Singer Service Center on Ocean Blvd. A different photo of this float appeared in the Stuart News (6 Jul 1961) with a caption reading "Theme Winner. The 'Statue of Liberty' float of the Ladies Auxiliary of Harold Johns Post No. 62, American Legion, designed by Nelly Pezzoni, won the prize for the float most in keeping with the Fourth of July theme in Tuesday's parade. Mrs. Theresa R. Brown was the statue; her parade attendants were: Karen Hartman, Darline McCoy, Kaye Hartman, Gay Bent, Sandy Mariotti and Gloria Mariotti. There were so many fine floats that the judges were hard pressed to choose the 'top three.' "

  • Two parade floats, sponsored by Stuart's Sea Explorer Scouts, represent the Monitor and Merrimac (Civil War ironclad ships that fought in the 1862 Battle of Hampton Roads). The parade floats passed between the Stuart Tackle Shop and Gulf Gas station on Colorado Avenue for an Independence Day parade through downtown Stuart.
  • Crowds watch the floats for Palm City and Palm City Farms as they pass by the governor's viewing station. One features Miss Palm City. Nurses are in the first car.

    In celebration of the 1925 establishment of Martin County, the town of Stuart hosted a series of events on 28 and 29 January 1926, including a large parade.
