Floretta Bartlett operated the Bartlett's Home Bakery in the Majestic Apartments (formerly the Coventry Apartments and hotel at 211 and 201 S. Colorado Avenue in Stuart) between 1939 and 1941. -
Bible Conference in Stuart, 1911
Crowd of adults and children pose next to large tent for the Stuart Bible Conference held in March 1911. Miami and Ft. Lauderdale newspapers advertised the event at the time and highlighted the inclusion of Dr. J. M. Gray, dean of Moody Institute in Chicago, as a speaker of note for the conference.
Listed in the FPC record book 1 (PDF p. 116) as "3537 Bible Conference, Stuart, Fred"
Published in the Stuart News (9 Jan 1964) with the caption: "This tent housed a Bible Conference held near Stuart Hotel, with the Rev. Neil McQuarrie in charge, on March 5-15, 1911." -
