  • Published in the Stuart News, 12 May 1949, with the caption: "New officers of the Stuart Woman's Club who were installed at the annual closing luncheon meeting at Chisholm's last Thursday include (left to right) Mrs. Roger Spicer, director; Miss Gwendolyn Jones of Ft.   • Bridge between Stuart and Jensen Beach Florida across the St. Lucie River. The Old Roosevelt Bridge opened in 1934. This bascule bridge later became the northbound lane and a second bridge was built in 1964 as the southbound lane. When the New Roosevelt Bridge was built in 1996, the original northbound bridge was torn down.

    Marked "3725." However, this is probably an error.

    The Palm City Bridge opened in 1919. It was designed by J.W. Bow and built by C.T. Dawkins Co. of Jacksonville. It was 2,600 feet long and was a bascule style drawbridge and was replaced in 1970.
