Small white building. Sent to George R. Johnson in Bridgeton, New Jersey. Postmarked November 4, 1952.
Built in 1943 by the Army Corp of Engineers to serve as the Martin County Service Club. After the war, the building was purchased by the City of Stuart and served as a community recreation hall and civic center. In 2023, it is the Flagler Center of Stuart, 246 SW Flagler Avenue, Stuart. -

Sunrise Inn & Club, c. 1965

The back caption reads "Sunrise Inn & Club, Stuart, Florida. Sailfish Capital of the World, 35 miles north of Palm Beach. Located opposite Buoy 14 on the Inland Waterway. Private Ocean Beach, pool, tennis, golf, cottages, apartments. Owned and operated by Essex & Sussex Hotel, Spring Lake, N. J. Fred F. Schlock, Manager. Telephone (305) 287-3111."
The Sunrise Inn property was owned by Hastings Square Hotel Co. (president Fred S. Shock), which also owned Essex-Sussex Hotel at Spring Lake NJ, between 1963 and 1972. -
