Beach scene with a woman dumping sand from her shoes. Tropical Florida Series postcard.
Poem about Florida on postcard reads "The Sky is ever bluest And friendship is the truest And enemies the fewest In Florida. Evergreens are greenest Beach sand is the cleanest And bungalows the neatest In Florida. If the sand gets in your shoes Shake it out where'eer you choose And you'll never get the blues In Florida."
Two carriages, one with a horse leading and one without, race on Ormond Beach.
Postcard addressed to Miss "Florrie" Kitching and originally addressed to Sebastian, Florida, then forwarded to Stuart. Florida Kitching was born in Sebastian in 1884. Florida moved to Stuart, following her brother, Stanley, likely around the time the postcard sent in 1907 when Florida was around 23 years old.
