Several buildings in downtown Stuart after the 1949 hurricane. On the corner of Osceola and St. Lucie Avenue, the Stuart City Hall is severely damaged (201 SW St Lucie Avenue), the Feroe Building with Stuart Rexall Drugs, and the train depot. Also visible is a car with wooden planks in the window. -

Splintered pieces of wood litter the street in front of Rexall Drugs (Feroe building, corner of Flagler Avenue and St. Lucie Avenue) after the 1949 Hurricane caused damage to multiple properties in downtown Stuart. Car parked next to the drugstore severely damaged by blowing debris.
