Published in the Stuart News, 25th Historical Edition (9 Nov 1950) with the caption "This is looking eastward down the Old Dixie Highway (Road A1A) in the heart of Rio in 1923. At right on the street corners are markers announcing this is Rio Blvd. and 'Rio St. Lucie Town Site.' At left is the old Rio Lumber Company and assorted homes down the boulevard."
