Portrait of Willie Jay Thompson sitting at a piano. Thompson graduated from the Stuart Training School in 1956. In addition to serving as a school teacher in Martin County, Thompson also worked as a school play and musical director. He also founded the East Stuart Historical Society and collected oral histories from many East Stuart residents over the years.
