Description

Group portrait taken during a Fishing Rodeo on the Jensen Beach Bridge with cars in the background. The children are all holding up their fishing rods.

The "Fishing Rodeo" was held annually from 1954 to 1967; the event was segregated and the event opened to Black children was called the "Negro Fishing Rodeo" until about 1957. In 1968, it was replaced by a county wide "Kiddie Field Day."
