Kitching and Eckess dry goods and clothing without front façade, c. 1923

Description

Large building on Flagler Avenue, opened in March 1922 as the Kitching & Eckess "Big Store." In 1926, it had a facade added that featured a balcony. In 1933 it became the Ben F. Eckess Department Store, and in 1938 it became the Stuart Department Store, which later was added onto next door.
