Description
Portrait of Frances Langford with boxer dog named Tony, who assisted in WW II war efforts in the South Pacific. According to the typed newspaper note attached to the photograph, Langford advocated for "war dogs" like Tony. Langford and others pushed for the rehabilitation of these "war dogs" with an aim to adopt them out to civilians after their service was completed.
