Published in Sandra Thurlow's book, Stuart on the St. Lucie (p. 83) with the caption: "Morris Raiford Johns came to the St. Lucie River region as a pineapple grower in 1890. Through the years he was a county commissioner, deputy sheriff, fishing guide, merchant and undertaker. He loved to give Stuart visitors something to talk about by catching and displaying huge jewfish."
