Bridge on U.S. 98 over St. Lucie Canal, built in 1924; bridge is no longer extant. Published in the Stuart News (9 Jan 1964) with the caption: "Old aerial view shows the island and lock formerly at Port Mayaca where the canal enters Lake Okeechokee. These works were removed in 1936 to give unimpeded discharge from the lake."
