Frazier Creek, Stuart, Florida, c. 1950
Two boats approaching two boat houses. One boat is from Washington D.C. tows a dingy named "Buccaneer" and the other boat is named "Prowl About (Stuart, Fla.)" Both fly a U.S. Yacht Ensign flag. The boathouse on the left was constructed by Hubert W. Bessey. -

In celebration of the 1925 establishment of Martin County, the town of Stuart hosted a series of events on 28 and 29 January 1926, including a large parade. Governor John Wellborn Martin attended as special guest. The Golden Gate float won a $100 prize for this float. -

Truck carries a tent, and boy scouts walk alongside. In front of the Peacock-Arcade Hotel under construction. After hosting several businesses and being remodeled several times, the building was demolished in 1960 after a severe fire.

Parade float with young African American man or boy in a bathtub, and sign: "We believe in Stuart 'clean up'. Let this be the only Black spot in town. Stuart Transfer Company." Stuart Transfer Company opened in 1925 on Flagler Avenue, then moved to the Lyric Theatre building in March 1926. They were a hauling company.
