Portrait painting of Stuart area pioneers, Robert and Marcia McPherson, who came to the area in 1891 to start a pineapple plantation.
Published in Sandra Thurlow's book, Stuart on the St. Lucie (p. 103) with the caption: "Scotsman Robert McPherson left Douglas, Nebraska, and settled on the St. Lucie River with his wife and younger children in 1891. In 1897 their son Charles and his family, and his married daughter Katie Witham and her family joined them. This portrait of Robert and Marcia McPherson was originally made for a Florida East Coast Railway pass." -
Painting wall mural, 1965
Junior Woman's Club of Stuart member paints a mural on the wall at Martin Memorial Hospital’s pediatric unit. The club also donated toys and clothes for children at the hospital. -
Palm Beach Land Co. building, c. 1915
People in rocking chairs on the front porch of the Palm Beach Land Company building, which was opened in 1911 by Charles Curtis Chillingworth after purchasing 12,000 acres in what is now Palm City and dividing it into ten acre lots and sold them as Palm City Farms.
The building was also called the McPherson building, located on First Street and Albany Avenue in Stuart.

Palm City Bridge, c. 1925
View of the Palm City bridge. The Palm City Bridge opened in 1919. It was designed by J.W. Bow and built by C.T. Dawkins Co. of Jacksonville. It was 2,600 feet long and was a bascule style drawbridge and was replaced in 1970. -
Parade on Flagler Avenue, 1925
In celebration of the 1925 establishment of Martin County, the town of Stuart hosted a series of events on 28 and 29 January 1926, including a large parade. This image, shows two Black men with instruments and is marked "The Colored Band." Also, men on horseback and a cart pass by Rue's Sweet Shop (decorated with bunting), Moore & Hartman Groceries & Meats, and the new Lyric Theatre under construction.

Parked cars for River Forest event, 1926
Cars parked for an event at the newly established River Forest real estate development near Stuart. A treasure hunt and picnic lunch was held on 13 March 1926 on Treasure Island (in Halpatiokee Regional Park in 2026) in the South Fork of the St. Lucie River.
