Children's performance at bandstand, c. 1935
A group of children perform at the bandstand while other children watch. This bandstand was alongside the Minschke building in a small park, dedicated Feb 1928, replaced by the Pressel building in 1940. Also visible, painted above the performing area, is an advertisement for sporting goods, marine supplies, phonographs and records, and household furnishings.

People walk amid chrysanthemum blossoms, including two boys. Handwritten on back: "Stanley Smith, Ralph Pierson, his chief aid, Mary Louise Smith. Tommy and Skipper Smith. William Rudge with shovel. In the winters of 1970 and 1971, two museum volunteers, Robert A. Holman, retired hospital administrator, and William Rudge, a collector from New York, excavated an "Indian burial mound" on Hutchinson Island. -
