Palm City Post Office, 1987
Second Palm City Post Office. The original post office building was damaged by the 1949 hurricane. Vermelle Fulton Baker served as postmaster at the time and the front part of her home became the new Palm City Post Office. Around 1956, the building was moved to Mapp Road. By the 1980s, the small building was no longer sufficient for the growing Palm City population and a new, larger building opened at the corner of Mapp Road and Martin Highway (SR 714) in April 1986. -

Palm City Woman's Club building, 1926
The Woman's Club building in Palm City. Funding for the building provided by early Palm City developer, Charles Chillingworth and the building's dedication was held 23 November 1915.
The 1928 hurricane destroyed the building. The Palm City Congregational Church was also destroyed by the hurricane but was quickly rebuilt and the Woman's Club began meeting at the church during that time and continued to do so even into the 1950s. -

Large white hotel on grounds landscaped with palm trees. The Palm Villa Hotel was built around 1913 and destroyed during the 1928 hurricane.
