Published in Alice Lockhardt's book, Stuart: Images of America (p. 94) with the caption: "Added next door to the new St. Mary's Episcopal Church was a special thatched structure that could be used for large church meetings, pageants, and shows put on by different members of the congregation. This mid-1930s photograph shows children in front of the structure and the church to the right." The thatched structure was referred to as the Parish House. Its front windows were salvaged from the Royal Poinciana Hotel in Palm Beach
