  • Florida East Coast Railway train car. Caption: "The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum, Whitehall Way, Palm Beach, Florida. The Rambler - Mr. Flagler's first private railroad car was outshopped in 1886, used extensively by Mr. Flagler until his death in 1913. The Rambler was in the vanguard of the first train to Key West in 1912. Was restored 1966, and opened to the public February 4, 1967. Visitors to the Museum will find in the Railroad Exhibit a complete pictorial history of the Rambler, its days of splendor, of decay and its restoration."
  • View of swimming pool and lobby at the Rancho Grande Motel, located on Frazier Creek, at 622 South Highway US 1 in Stuart. Caption on back reads "Stuart's finest motel located in a beautiful setting of pines and palms. New swimming pool, lovely rooms with bath, air-conditioning and heating. Efficiencies. Near restaurant and all downtown conveniences. Peter & Eleanore Cecilio."
  • The research ship Aquina. Caption: "Research Ship Aquina is the floating laboratory of the Institutum Divi Thomae, an American network of scientific laboratories directed by Dr. George Speri Sperti. The ship is used for marine biological research in oceanic waters. It is 75' long with a 17' beam and is powered by twin 150 h.p. Diesel engines. The laboratory with complete equipment is aft on main deck."

  • Group portrait with Rev. Albert Stake and several Seminole men and women. Rev. Stake, a Creek Indian from Oklahoma and missionary Baptist preacher, started coming to the area around 1913 to spread Christian teachings to Seminoles in Indiantown. Stake continued his missionary work intermittently through 1920.
  • View of Rice Hotel and Restaurant in Stuart, Florida with a few cars parked around the building. Signs in first floor windows read "Home Cooking," "Western Steaks," "Seafood," and "Fried Chicken."
  • Postcard created from a Ruhnke photo of the Rice Hotel and Restaurant. The Restaurant advertised that "It's Never Too Late For Breakfast." The building, previously the Rob Roy Hotel owned by the Roebuck family, was purchased by William H. Rice in 1945. Rice remodeled then operated the establishment, including a market on the first floor of the building (opened in 1949) and a nearby service station until 1956 when he sold it to Don A. O'Kelley and James L. Scannell who changed the name to "The Coffee House." The caption on the backside of the postcard is not legible. Poor condition.
  • Rivers Edge Apartment Motel, located at 322 South Indian River Drive in Jensen Beach. Caption on back of postcard reads "On the beautiful Indian River. Private dock, fishing pier. Two rooms efficiency apartments, completely furnished for light housekeeping. Cable T.V. Heat and air conditioning. Five minutes to ocean, restaurants. Golf courses nearby."
