  • Patio of the Pelican Hotel with lush tropical plants and a coconut palm tree. Four Adirondack chairs with pillows are arranged in a semi-circle on pavers. Postmarked in Stuart on March 2, 1940. Postcard sent to Mrs. John Beatty in Little Falls, New Jersey from "Helen."
  • Exterior front and side view of the Coventry Hotel. Hotel sign located on the roof of the building. There are covered front porches on both floors of this two-story building and a few rocking chairs are visible on the first floor porch. Built in 1914; Coventry apartments (not here) built 1922.
  • Exterior view of the France Apartments, boat docks, and covered boat slips. Several boats are at the dock or in the covered slips and there are many cars parked near the docks. Postmarked in Stuart on November 27, 1942 and postmarked in Cashion, Oklahoma on December 1, 1942. Postcard sent to Mr. and Mrs. G. Jarvis in Cashion, Oklahoma from "LaVeka."

  • Cast portrait for a Henry W. Savage Broadway production of "The Merry Widow." The production centers around can-can dancers at a Parisian nightclub by the name of Maxim's. Originally an Austrian operetta, Savage staged the first English production beginning in December 1907.
  • Group disembarks from a boat trip on the St. Lucie River. Several large houses visible in background, including the Danforth Hotel.
