Clements, former principal of Stuart High School (1938-1942) and his new wife, Eva Hayes Clements, a dietician. The business was renamed "Clement's Restaurant." Soon after, Clements sold the restaurant to Bertha and Ben Goddard, who renamed it "Goddard's Restaurant" in April 1947, adjacent to the Goddard's Sailsport Docks.
