In December 1926, Bert Krueger and Ted Parsons each built boats with the same outboard motor, ten feet in length, but of differing design. Boat races on the St. Lucie continued through the 1920s. This is possibly one of those races.

Krueger acquired and taught himself to fly the Hiller YH-32 "Ram-Jet" helicopter in 1959 (Stuart News, 30 July 1959). It was destroyed during crash at the dedication of the Civil Air Patrol hangar at Witham Field in December 1959.

Osie Virgie Holyfield (1884-1960) married George Hopkins at 15 years old in West Virginia; they may have divorced before his death in 1930. They moved to Fort Pierce in about 1907. Later, she owned drinking establishments in Stuart and Vero during Prohibition. Their daughter, Madeline (1909-1996) married Albert Paul "Bert" Krueger (1896-1973) of Stuart.
