New and old Palm City bridge, 1970

Description

Two bridges: in the front is the old wooden Palm City bridge, built in 1919, which was damaged and rebuilt after at least two hurricanes. In January 1969, construction began on the bridge in the back, a new high-rise bridge, which opened on 4 June 1970, at which time the old bridge was demolished.
