Description
Portrait of man. Handwritten on back: "Russell Ruben Frazier, Grandpa Frazier" Russell Ruben Frazier (1846-1905). Frazier enlisted in the U.S. Civil War Union Army at age 15; his health was never strong afterward and he moved to Florida for the climate.
The Frazier 160 acre homestead, established in 1867, included a large portion of central Stuart, including Memorial Park. He established the Belle Flora pinery, and the road through the fields, now [2023] Colorado Avenue, was also called Belle Flora.
