Description

Aerial view over the Old Roosevelt Bridge with construction barges and pylons on the right and the FEC railway bridge on the left. This original portion of the Old Roosevelt Bridge opened in 1934. In the photo, both the north and southbound lanes, travel on the original Old Roosevelt Bridge, which eventually became the northbound lane and a second bridge opened later in 1964 as the southbound lane. When the New Roosevelt Bridge was built in 1996, the original northbound bridge was torn down.
