Buildings at a lighthouse station near Coinjock, North Carolina. Photo published in the February 1923 issue of Power Boating magazine (volume XXV, No. 2). Edythe Willoughby contributed an article to this issue of the magazine, titled “Cruising Northward in the Spring” about traveling in their houseboat named “Dorothy” from Miami, Florida to Newport, Rhode Island. Edythe Willoughby’s article won second prize in Power Boating magazine’s Annual Prize Story contest. Photo captioned in the article as “The lighthouse station on the canal near Coinjock bay.”
