Description

Handwritten on back: "Architect of Stuart High School and his wife, small friend between them." Frederick H. Trimble was the architect of the school, and his wife was Rena Bowker Trimble.

The Stuart High School was constructed by the J.C. Hanner Construction Company of Orlando; construction began in 1922 and the school opened in 1923. Collection accompanied by note: "Photos courtesy Belva. The new Stuart School before it was opened. The architect and his wife, Belva- the little girl with the big hat, and Belva's Aunt Velma Harrison (with umbrella.)"
