Stuart school, Feb. 1912
Description
Several children on stoop of school. Built in 1908, the building was then used as the Martin County courthouse from 1925 to 1937. Published in the Stuart News, 25th Historical Edition (9 Nov 1950) with the caption "This front portion of the present county court house formerly was the Stuart school until the present school plant [sic] further east on 4th St. was erected in 1926. Primary grades used the small building at right."
