Description
Three businesses: Stuart Paint Company, Midway Café - Good Home Cooking, and the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, located on Dixie Highway at Fifth Street.
Midway Café opened 2 Oct 1926 by Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Hibble in the Bell Market building (in the space formerly occupied by the Seminole Cafe) next to the A&P. The café closed by March 1927, as Mrs. Hibble took the position of manager of the Arcade Restaurant. Mr. Hibble became the volunteer Municipal Employment Agent.
In 2023, located at 198 SE 5th Street or 500 Old Dixie Highway.
