Description

Parade float with a model of a house, and sign "Better County Homes." Casa Lumber Company operated in Stuart from about 1925 to 1928. Kitching & Eckess store behind float.

In celebration of the 1925 establishment of Martin County, the town of Stuart hosted a series of events on 28 and 29 January 1926, including a large parade. Governor John Wellborn Martin attended as special guest.
