Robert Goodbread, c. 1985

Robert Goodbread (1896-1992) of Tick Ridge in Jensen Beach arrived in Sewall's Point with his family when he was one year old. Goodbread's father, Sam Goodbread, came to the area work the pineapple fields. Later they moved to the Tick Ridge plot which Goodbread remained on until his death. Goodbread held many positions in his life, including a dairy manager; in about 1986, he left retirement to work as security at Speedy Mart on MLK Blvd.
