Description

Willie Edward Gary (b. 1947) is a prominent local attorney of national reputation. He is especially known for a case on behalf of a Mississippi funeral home owner who was being driven out of business by a Canadian businessman who targeted African Americans with unscruplous practices; the case was the basis for a 2023 film, The Burial, in which Gary was depicted by Jamie Foxx.
