Crowd gathers after Fishing Rodeo, c. 1955

Description

Children lined up in wooded area for refreshments after Fishing Rodeo. Adults are serving and or helping the children.

The "Fishing Rodeo" was held annually from 1954 to 1967; the event was segregated and the event opened to Black children was called the "Negro Fishing Rodeo" until about 1957. In 1968, it was replaced by a county wide "Kiddie Field Day."
