Drawing of Bridge Road in Hobe Sound, c.1986
Description
Line drawing of Bridge Road in Hobe Sound. One of seven illustrations of county landmarks and points of interest along the Treasure Coast commissioned by American Pioneer Savings Bank (1986-1990). Back caption reads "Shortly following the end of World War II, the Jupiter Island Association raised funds for area beautification projects which included the planting of ficus nitida saplings, less than ten feet tall, along Bridge Road. Today, this bower of Cuban laurel forms a natural canopy above the roadway, creating one of the most picturesque spots in Martin County. One of a series of seven prints and postcards depicting historical landmarks and points of interests along the Treasure Coast of Florida, these illustrations are available exclusively through American Pioneer Savings Bank."
