Franklin D. Roosevelt Bridge, c. 1936

Bridge between Stuart and Jensen Beach Florida across the St. Lucie River. The Old Roosevelt Bridge opened in 1934. This bascule bridge later became the northbound lane and a second bridge was built in 1964 as the southbound lane. When the New Roosevelt Bridge was built in 1996, the original northbound bridge was torn down.
