Description

Nathaniel Pryor Reed (1934-2018) of Hobe Sound, and family. Reed served in many federal and state positions associated with the environment and conservation over his career, including the Chairman of the Florida Air and Water Pollution Control Commission. He also made significant contributions to private environmental organizations, including helping to found the Everglades Foundation and 1000 Friends of Florida, and serving on the boards of the Atlantic Salmon Federation, Natural Resources Defense Council, National Geographic Society, and Everglades Foundation. Father was Joseph Verner Reed (1902-1973)
