Description

Benjamin Hogg on his schooner. Published in Sandra Thurlow's book, Sewall's Point, with the caption: "Benjamin Hogg during the presidential outing [with Theodore Roosevelt]." Benjamin Hogg and wife Annie moved to Waveland (Sewall's Point) from Fort Pierce in 1885 and established a sawmill and small store, "Hogg's Mill." They later sold this land and a large residence was built there called "Castle Hill." The Hoggs owned a charter boat business and other properties in Jensen Beach.
