Description
Sophronius Twitchell "Phronie or Fronie" Cleveland (1879-1954) was raised on Merritt Island and lived in Fort Pierce before arriving in Stuart in 1926. He was an outdoorsman, fisherman, and hunter as well as a FEC baggage master and owner of a shooting gallery. He wrote a series of articles for the Stuart News in 1933 under the byline "F.T. Cleveland" describing his experiences hunting, turtling, and fishing in Florida.
