Description

J. J. and Blount Pitchford pose with a large tarpon held in place with the help of Wallace Maddox and a piece of heavy machinery behind the trio. The fish display portrait was captured at the Pitchford Place service station in Jensen Beach.

Published in Sandra Thurlow's book, Historic Jensen and Eden on Florida's Indian River (p. 88) with the caption: "J.J. and Blount Pitchford stand beside a huge tarpon that Wallace Maddox holds in position behind a wrecker at the Pitchford filling station."
