Description
Dr. Robert Kuhn (1926-2014) with two large dogs. Dr. Kuhn opened his office, Stuart Animal Hospital, in 1954; he retired in 1986. He was a founding member of the Animal Rescue League and offered veterinarian assistance on the television series "Gentle Ben."
Published in the Stuart News (16 Dec 1954) with the caption: "Teddy Boy, a Salerno dog owned by George Gunderson, reclines on a table at Dr. Robert Kuhn's veterinary office on the A1A cutoff road here following receipt of three blood transfusions that saved his life. Sitting over the gunshot wound victim is one of the three canine donors."
