Title
Trailer filled with watermelons loaded onto railroad car, 1956
Description
Three men load watermelons into a Seaboard Air Line Railroad car. Published in the Stuart News (10 May 1956) with a caption that reads "Juicy Melons Loaded On Freight Car. Spring in the air, a pile of prime juicy watermelons and big smiles go together and 'that's what we like about the South.' This carload of melons was grown by Richard Hayes on the Becker ranch. It was loaded here Monday under the watchful eyes of James Mason of Leesburg, a buyer for the growers' market there."
