Portrait of John E. Peurifoy, the Deputy Undersecretary of the State of Florida, on horseback at this Circle T Ranch rodeo. According to the Stuart News (12 Jan 1950), U.S. deputy secretary Peurifoy traveled from Washington D. C. to stay at the Seminole Inn in Indiantown with his wife and son in January of 1950. The horse in this photo is likely "Dandy" which was a famous quarter-horse at the ranch.
