Description

A woman tosses flowers into the water below the Roosevelt Bridge in observance of Memorial Day. The Stuart Memorial Day parade of 1960 paused on the Roosevelt Bridge for memorial flowers to be tossed into the water with the accompaniment of a firing squad and the playing of “taps.”
