Salerno Post Office, 1959

Description

Post Office in Port Salerno with O'Connor's Soda Fountain located next door. This iteration of the Salerno Post Office was built around 1957 after the previous Post Office building was torn down. An article in the Stuart News (13 Nov 1958) details that Henry Grien "built the new Post Office and remodeled the buildings adjoining, which resulted in three new business (sic) opening: O'Connor's Soda Fountain and Gift Shop, C. B. Arbogast real estate, and the Busy bee Furniture Store."
