The Stuart News was among national and local recipients who accepted awards from the American Heart Association at a supper meeting at the Pink Pony Monday night. Standing are (left to right) Chairman Thomas G. Schrenckengost of the local chapter who presents the citation to The News, accepted for the paper by Ernest F. Lyons of our staff, while Directors Dr. J. D. Parker, John Wolf, L. C. Kickliter, and C. W. Pfeiffer look on. Seated are directors Mrs. Ted Chambers, Mrs. Floretta Bartlett, executive director Margaret F. Bodenstein, West Palm Beach, and Mrs. H. R. Johns, newly elected president of the local group."
