Photo published in the Stuart News (31 Aug 1967) with a caption reading "Actor-Singer Vaughn Monroe, right, has been named one of its 'Flying Colonels' by Delta Air Lines. A resident of Sewall's Point on the St. Lucie River, Monroe was given the presentation by the nation's fifth largest air carrier for his contribution and support of the airline industry. An avid air traveler, Monroe flies thousands of miles all over the world each year. Making the presentation was Delta sales representative Brad Stewart of West Palm Beach, center, and Stanley Smith of the Stuart Travel Service, left."
