  • Mary "Patsy" McCord (1883-1953) stands holding a grapefruit branch in an orchard. Patsy McCord worked as a secretary for the Palm Beach Land Co. The Palm Beach Land Co., established by C. C. Chillingworth in 1910, was an early land development business and played a major role in bringing pioneer landowners and businesses to Stuart and Palm City areas. McCord also worked as an office deputy for the Stuart Sheriff's department and was an active member of many organizations in the community.
  • Grapefruit branches with smiling young girl in floral hat and burgundy velvet dress holding orange tree branches added to the foreground. Front caption reads "There is always sunshine in Florida. Scene in grape fruit orchard." Postmark was stamped in Stuart on a July 2nd but the year is cutoff (not stamped completely).
  • Grapefruit at Spicer Grove. Spicer Grove was established in about 1917 by Edward E. Spicer, and was located in the Gomez Tract adjoining Hobe Sound. In 1924 it was noted as being the finest grove in Florida.
