  • Several people peruse art on display in Beckman's Lot in Stuart. Buildings in view next to the park, including R. F. Longbottom's Barber Shop and Taylor Ashley Real Estate & Insurance building. Building behind the display formerly housed H. H. Hipson's dental office on the second floor.

    According to the Stuart News (10 Mar 1955), the Stuart Art Guild held a three day art exhibit in Beckman's Lot, next to the Martin County Hardware Co. store in early March 1955. Both professional and amateur artists displayed their art and over 1,000 people came through to view the exhibit.
