Candidates for Stuart commissioners, 1959
Six candidates for three Stuart city commissioner posts spoke at a fish fry and political rally held by the Volunteer Fire Department at the civic center park in Stuart. Each candidate was given fifteen minutes to speak to the crowd about their political campaigns. Proceeds from the event went towards the Stuart Fourth of July fireworks fund. Seated in front (left to right): John N. Mann, J. C. Williams, Kenneth Stimmell (1917-1994) and Richard Pryor. Ed Higbee (1908-1990) stands on the left and Ed Menninger Jr. is standing on the right. -
